Group 1:This week  students will practice words with long o,u,e sounds with the silent e at the end.. We will read the story  Diary of A Spider discuss the cause and effect from the story. We will write about our favorite animal.
Group 2Read the passage Tall Tales and look for the meaning of highlighted vocabulary words.Read Ways Different animals Live from Read Works and write two facts of tings learned. Write about how they spend their Weekend.

The Week of May 28

This week  we will Identify equal and unequal parts in 2d shapes. Students will use shape cutouts to decide whether a shape is partitioned into equal or unequal parts. Students will explore more about the partitioning shapes into halves, thirds and fourths.Students will use cut out 2 dimensional  shapes to part to halves and fourths.

This week  we will learn to decompose combined shapes into shapes.Students will use pattern blocks to explore both composing and decomposing of shapes. Students will explore more about the attributes of two-dimensional shapes. We will draw lines to decompose shapes and learn that each line will be a  side in the new shapes we create.
