Preview the topic Music and discuss the different ways we can make music.Read the Realistic Fiction A musical Day and discuss the importance of music in our every day life.Practice kinds of sentences.

Group 2

vocabulary: tunnel, curled, height, direction, toward, healed, brag, tease
Model and practice  to blend and decode regularly spelled words with endings -ed, -ing
Read the story Tortoise gets a Home in write in  Reader and answer the questions in the stop think and write section.
Practice to add -s to present tense verbs.
We will discuss that traditional tales are stories that people have been telling for many years.And the characters in the story usually learn a lesson.ow the characters speak and act like real people and the importance of not teasing others.We will write  note to the brown squirrel telling how you feel about teasing others.
Review present tense nouns.
review how to identify the kids of nouns in sentences.

We will discuss the different traditions that each culture has and how they have been passed down from one generation to the other.We will learn that folktales are stories that tells about a cultures customs and has a lesson to teach. We will take turns to read The Harvest Birds.Discuss the essential questions what do traditional tales tells readers about life while we read.
