Students will learn how the spelling changes when we add -s or -es  to words that ends with, s, sh, ch, or x.When a  base word ends in y, the y is changed to i before adding -ed. Review and practice  adding -s or -es , -ed, -ing endings.
Practice the meanings of vocabulary words by making flash cards.Discuss how animals migrate from one location to another during climate changes. We will take turns to read the informational text, The Journey: Stories Of Migration and discuss why animals migrate to different places.

Discuss about the Different way to travel. .Read the fantasy The Big Trip and compare the characters in the story.
Group 2

Vocabulary Words:depended, sore, sprang, studied, gazing, hero, exercise, overlooked
Students will learn that the letters o and r together will stand for the /or/ sound in the beginning,or middle of a word.
Also the letters ore stand for the /or/ sounds at the end of a word.

Practice to decode and write words with /or/ sound.
Discuss who a hero is and what heroes do. Learn that fantasy is a story that could not happen in real life. read the fantasy Dex: The heart of  A hero and discuss what makes someone a Hero.

Practice to use commas in series of nouns and verbs.

Group 3-

Students will take turns to read the Historical fiction Sarah, plain and Tall and discuss the essential questions while we read.Learn that adverbs are words that describe  a verb, telling, when, where and how something happens. Adverb can also used to compare actions which is called comparative adverbs..
