Group 1

Read the informational text Super Soil and compare how the features in both the lessons are same and alike.
Read the story A Spring Walk from the decodable reader and find words that stand for /aw/

Students will learn that a suffix is added to the end of the base word and it changes the meaning of  the base word and adds a syllable.
students will practice to add suffix  -ly, -ful -er to the base words.
Students will learn that a prefix is added to the beginning of a base word Practice words with prefixes un-, pre-, re- and bi-
Learn the meaning of the vocabulary words.
Discuss that when volcanoes erupts, hot lava comes out and when it cools it turns to lands and islands are formed. 
We will take turns to read the realistic fiction Dog - of - the Sea -Waves . We will discuss the essential question what changes do volcanoes cause while we read.
