High frequency words:for, he, what, look, have, too
Student will practice to blend  words with short i and consonants b, g and /z/ s
Review nouns
Identify and use possessive nouns
Read the informational text The Storm and understand the characters.

Group 2
Spelling words:price, erase, ripe, broke, flame, life, rule, these, those,wake Bonus:surprise, decide
Vocabulary: trial, jury, convince, guilty, pointed, honest, murmur, stand
Model and practice VCe pattern words.
Review the meaning of vocabulary words by using them in sentences and practice worksheets.
Review the four types of sentences.
Students will read the  fantasy story The Trail of Cardigan Jones and discuss the essential questions while we read.
We will discuss the importance of showing respect in our daily lives. We will read the story Mr. Peabody's Apples and discuss the importance of respecting other people's feelings.
