Discuss about the Different way to travel. .Read the fantasy The Big Trip and compare the characters in the story.
Group 2

Students will learn that the letters a and r together will stand for the /ar/ sound in the beginning, middle or end of a word.
Practice to decode and write words with /ar/ sound.
We will discuss the importance of having signs and following them, We will read the story The Sign Maker's Assistant and discuss the characters and how the text and graphic features help understanding what is happening in the story.
Review synonyms and proper nouns.
Group 3-

Students will learn that a compound word is formed from two smaller words. Two smaller words in the compound word, gives clues about the meaning of the compound word.Practice to spell and read compound words.
Discuss the topic climate and how it is different in different states and how people survive in areas where the temperature ids freezing.We will read the informational text Life On The Ice and discuss the essential questions while we read.
